We visited Rich Sharick to get our first official newborn and family portraits this past week. Rich did my maternity portraits when I was 36 weeks along, and we couldn’t have been happier with the result. I knew once Reese was born I’d like to have him take a shot at capturing her in her wrinkly, squiggly newborn glory.
Reese proved to be tricky subject matter, as she tends to be a bit on the fussier and squirmy side — and photo day was no exception. Rich did get a lot of great shots, despite jags of crying and wailing (the baby was crying, not Rich). I’m very impressed with Rich’s work — you have to have pretty darn good photography reflexes to catch Reese in a good moment.
