Early Sunday afternoon was spent with friends and good food at my favorite local cafe. Our company included Pawan and Kim, and their daughter Laynie. Laynie is exactly two months older than Reese, so it was pretty neat to “peer into the future” and imagine Reese as a five-month-old. When I get together with my fellow new parent friends, it reminds me that there is a world outside of my house and my child…and I miss it. I guess I need to get out more and remember what it was like to socialize with actual grownups.
